A Christmas Gift Drive
in Partnership with Family SOS
This Christmas, we’re partnering with Family SOS to provide gifts for individuals from local families. It’s a practical way for our Port City community to share the love of Jesus and care for our neighbours and we’d love for you to be part of it!
About Family SOS
Family SOS is a community-based organization supporting children, youth, and families across the Halifax Regional Municipality. Based in Spryfield and serving families for nearly 50 years, they believe every family deserves the opportunity to feel supported, connected, and able to thrive.
Through free parenting programs, child and youth programs, and food security initiatives, Family SOS works alongside families facing challenges. Their programs build on families’ strengths, offer practical support, and help create safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children and caregivers.
How You Can Help
1. Sign up to give.
Complete the form below to help provide a Christmas gift. We’ll email you a profile with the recipient’s age, clothing sizes, and interests to help you choose something thoughtful.
2. Choose a gift.
Please plan to spend a minimum of $50 per gift. If you're unsure what to give, gift cards are welcome, especially for teens and parents (e.g. grocery gift cards).
3. Bring your gift to church.
Return your gift to a Port City gathering by Sunday, December 13th. We’ll get the gifts to Family SOS to distribute to families before Christmas.
