Crafting a Vivid Vision for 2026

As we step into a new year, many of us feel the tension between hope and reality. We want to grow, to change, to live more faithfully but we’re not always sure how to move from good intentions to real transformation.

That’s where our 2026 Vivid Vision resource comes in.

A vivid vision is a clear, compelling picture of the life you’re prayerfully moving toward. Rather than starting with goals or resolutions, this resource begins with imagination inviting you to picture what your life could look like by the end of 2026 if you lived with intention and alignment. It’s not about becoming someone else; it’s about becoming more fully who God is already shaping you to be.

In our recent teaching from Proverbs 6, we were reminded to “consider the ant”, a creature that acts with wisdom by preparing ahead of time rather than reacting later. This resource is an invitation to practice that same kind of biblical wisdom: slowing down now to thoughtfully and prayerfully prepare for the life you want to live, instead of drifting into it by default.

This guide walks you through three core movements.

First, you’ll create a vivid vision across five key areas of life: spiritual, relational, physical, learning, and financial. You’re encouraged to write in the present tense, describing your life as if it’s already happening. This helps move vision from abstraction to something you can actually see and feel. There’s even space to draw or doodle because clarity doesn’t always come through words alone.

Second, you’ll identify three actionable steps you can take this year to begin living into that vision. These aren’t meant to be overwhelming or idealistic. Like the wisdom of Proverbs, they’re practical, realistic, and grounded in your current season.

Third, you’ll take time to name potential hindrances.  These are the habits, mindsets, or patterns that often derail growth. Drawing on insights from authors like Jon Acuff, this section helps you prepare for resistance before it shows up, so you’re not surprised when motivation fades or perfectionism creeps in.

You’ll also find reflection questions, a creative Dream Cloud exercise to visualize your future, and a short list of additional resources if you want to go deeper.

This isn’t a workbook you rush through in one sitting. Take your time. Pray. Reflect. Revisit it throughout the year. Our hope is that this tool helps you slow down, listen closely to what God is stirring, and take small, faithful steps toward the life He’s inviting you into.

Because wisdom isn’t just knowing what to do it’s preparing today for the life you want to live tomorrow.
