“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
— Luke 2:10-11”
Advent is a time of preparation. Throughout this season, we will reflect on the songs once sung in anticipation of Christ’s first coming—melodies that still guide us as we await His return.
Join us this Advent season and invite family and friends as we study the songs from the book of Luke that were sung in celebration of the long awaited Savior.

Christmas Eve Service
Wednesday, Dec 24th @ 4:00pm
You are invited this Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the hope we have in Him. Our mission as a church is to help people encounter Jesus and follow His way.
We know that the Christmas season is a time when many are looking for and longing to find hope. We believe that you’ll find what you’re looking for and what your heart is longing for in this Christmas season at Port City Church.
Come join us as for this family friendly time together and hear more about how the good news of Jesus can change your life. Our Christmas Eve service will start at 4:00pm and will be 70 minutes in length.
-
Our Christmas Eve service will be held at Sandy Lake Academy (435 Hammonds Plains Rd, Bedford, NS) at 4:00pm.
-
Our Christmas Eve service begins at 4:00pm, but we encourage you to come a few minutes early to find parking, get settled, and enjoy a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, and a Christmas treat before the service begins.
The service will last about 70 minutes and will include: singing Christmas carols together in worship, a meaningful message from the Bible, and a beautiful time of traditional candle lighting.
We’ll also have fun activity sheets available for children attending the service. Come early, get cozy, and celebrate the joy of Christmas with us!

At Port City, we aim to extend radical hospitality to everyone who walks through our doors. We understand that visiting a new place or meeting new people can feel intimidating, so our goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment for all.
Whether you’re curious and exploring your faith, unsure or skeptical, or already a Christian looking for a local church home, we believe Port City is a place where you belong.
-
We will be providing childcare for children ages infant through pre-primary. Your older children will join you in the service. Please plan to arrive approximately fifteen minutes prior to the start of the service in order to check your child in. All of our kids ministry volunteers will be trained, background checked, and ready to welcome your little ones!
