Meet Our Global Partners

During our current series, Neighbours and Nations, we introduced a couple of partnerships that we are beginning to engage with over the next year.  As a church we believe deeply in the picture that we get from Revelation 7:9-10, “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Missions is the means by which the Christian seeks to help people from every tribe, tongue, nation and language encounter Jesus and follow his way.  This is God’s heart and it’s the picture the Bible gives us of what heaven will look like.  We want to strategically come alongside organizations and people who are leveraging their life to see the gospel spread across the globe.  Below are the two partnerships that we are pursuing along with ways that you can specific pray for these people and organization.

  1. Pray for Rachel & Josiah serving in South Asia

  • Pray for the local followers of Jesus that they are training to become disciple makers in their cities and towns.  Pray that God would give the locals a passion and boldness to share their faith with many.

  • Pray that many people from these remote parts of South Asia would come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

  • Pray for Rachel & Josiah (including baby Hudson).  Pray that God would unite them in marriage and strengthen them as they do work in a very hard place with a lot of restrictions and difficulty.

2. Pray for the work of Child of Mine

  • Pray for the workers who are diligently labouring to help these children receive a proper education.  Pray also that these workers would seek ways to share the love of Jesus with these children.

  • Pray for the students that are a part of the program.  Ask the Lord to help them be diligent in their studies, but also ask the Lord to help them see his goodness as they are a part of this program.

  • Pray for the financial means needed to continue this work.  Pray that the Lord of provision would continue to bring in all the necessary monies necessary to provide the best care and education for each child.

This weekend (Sunday, June 30th)
we will be collecting a special offering to help financially support each of these ministries.  Monies will go to support the discipleship trainings that Rachel & Josiah are doing with locals who are being trained to share the gospel.  Furthermore, the monies will be used to help support the ongoing work and education being done through Child of Mine.

We would ask you to prayerfully consider what you will give above and beyond your normal tithe to the work God is doing all around the world. May our giving to global missions be an act of worship and a belief in the words of Jesus that “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35).
