Your child must have turned four by July 1st and cannot be older than (completed) grade 5.

Camp will take place on Wednesday, July 3rd through Friday, July 5th. And we will host the last day of camp on Sunday, July 7th during our weekly worship gathering. You may drop off your child no earlier than 8:45am each day and pick up at 12:00pm (there are no late pick up options).

Camp will be held at Sandy Lake Academy (435 Hammonds Plains Rd, Bedford NS).

This is a FREE event for all children.

This is a FREE event for all children. However this year’s camp is limited to 80 children, first come first serve.

Each day we will start and end with a large group time where we will sing songs, review our lesson from the day before, and watch funny skits. Then your child will be organised in a group of 4-7 children (same age), which they will remain with for the entire week. This group will be lead by one of our trained volunteers and will take your child through a series of stations including: outdoor games, snack time, camp crafts, and an engaging Bible lesson.

The theme of Camp Fireside is “Our Awesome Jesus”. We will be looking at select stories from the life of Jesus and talking about how there is no greater life lived than a life lived for Jesus. Our theme verse that each child will be encouraged to memorise will be Colossians 1:19-20.

Your child will be cared for and looked after each day at Camp Fireside by our trained volunteer team. Camp is set up so that the ratio of children to volunteers ensures the utmost safety to your child. If you would like to participate as a camp volunteer please email serve@portcitychurch.ca.
