Acts 2:42-47

The church was more than merely an event that happened at Pentecost – it was now the vehicle by which the kingdom of God would be visible and invade the world. This new community God has made invites us into new life in Christ together, new love for one another, and new longing that God would be glorified in worship and reaching the lost. It is for this purpose that we devote ourselves to Christ in a corporate way—the church—by the power of the Holy Spirit through the gospel. This is the means by which God seeks to invade a broken world with grace for His glory.
