Acts 9:20-31
Saul was the chief persecutor (enemy) of Christians but in the first part of Acts 9 Saul becomes a Christian. And almost immediately after Saul becomes a follower of Jesus he begins to experience some extremely difficult things in his life. Saul is going to teach us a very valuable and essential lesson in what it means to be a follower of Jesus. It can be easy for us to think that when we became a follower of Jesus that everything will now turn out exactly the way you want it to. And the unfortunate reality for many of us is we don’t know how to handle difficulty, or suffering, or hardship in our life… because if we’re honest we didn’t expect that to be part of the Christian life.
